科林大学's 健康的职业 curriculum provides you with the training and knowledge you need for a rewarding career as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician, 病人护理技术员(PCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Phlebotomy Technician (PHLEB). The five career tracks allow you to choose the specialization that best fits your career goals. Each track offers in-depth education with hands-on experience, thanks to experienced faculty who have worked in the healthcare field and valuable clinical partnerships with local hospitals, 设施, 和诊所.
The variety of options in 健康的职业 also allows you to build your knowledge and skills as you progress through the different levels of educational awards. You can earn an Occupational Skills Award (OSA) and a Level 1 Certificate on your way to an 应用科学副学士 in 健康的职业, providing you with the chance to work in your field of interest as you continue your education.

SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission to the 健康的职业 clinical programs is selective and requires completion of an application process. The application is found on the 健康的职业 program website: http://6a8.tou18.com/department/healthprofessions and must be submitted prior to enrolling in the clinical program courses.
Eligibility requirements for application to the 健康的职业 clinical programs include:
- Complete the 科林大学 Admissions requirements.
- Complete the 健康的职业 Application form (located on the 健康的职业 department website).
- Submit all clinical program requirements:
- Proof of personal health insurance
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Provider card
- Required immunization records (submitted to the required immunization tracker)
- Varicella (completed 2-dose series or positive quantitative blood titer)
- 乙型肝炎 (completed 3-dose series, 双剂量加速系列, or positive quantitative blood titer)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) (completed 2-dose series or positive quantitative blood titer)
- Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (TDaP)
- Negative Tuberculosis (TB) screening (expires annually)
- Influenza vaccine (required during active flu season, expires annually)

FUNCTIONAL ABILITIES/CORE PERFORMANCE STANDARDS STATEMENT
After initial acceptance to this program, all students are required to meet specific functional abilities with or without accommodations for successful completion of the program and to function safely and effectively in the variety of the profession's settings. The specific functional requirements are found in "Functional Abilities/Core Performance Standards" documents provided in the program information and application forms. Students who think they may not be able to meet the functional standards and need accommodation are encouraged to contact the college ACCESS department as soon as this program is of interest.
Prior to enrolling in any clinical courses, students must complete all immunizations required by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS)*. All required workforce courses require a minimum grade of 75% to continue in the program.
* It is important to note that one of the required vaccinations, 乙型肝炎, consists of a three dose series, which can take up to 7 months to complete. Individuals unable to receive the HBV must inform the Program Coordinator. In such cases, the applicant must sign a declination form. All immunizations must be complete before assignment to clinical training.
